GDSI
Brand System, Website, Collateral Materials and Social Media
WEBSITE
GDSI came to us with 30+ years of experience solving software development challenges and inefficiencies in the Professional Services industry.
They had an established logo and color palette but needed a cohesive Brand System which we defined around the existing website they loved (with a light refresh applied).
Sometimes that happens. Our solutions don’t always involve starting a brand from inception. Sometimes we’re asked on board to fan a spark into a design fire. So what does that look like? For GDSI, we expanded on a color palette and illustration library, created a typography hierarchy, an icon catalog and left the logo ALONE.
Graphic Elements
How do you take existing graphic elements the client loves and use them to create a solid and cohesive brand system? You enhance, enhance, enhance—by extending their color palettes, spot illustrations, iconography and font families.
SPOT ILLUSTRATIONS

Brand System
The system utilizes a 1/3-to-2/3 grid ratio featuring all graphic elements:
1. Logotype
2. Asymmetrical Background Fill
3. Spot Illustration
4. Typography
5. Spot Illustration (large)
The first 1/3 ratio of the grid is reserved for non-variable content such as the Logotype (top right whenever possible), non product-specific Spot Illustrations (housed in a floating white circle) and the Asymmetrical Background Fill (lightest blue). The second 2/3 of a layout features product specific content such as appropriate product labeling, supporting Spot Illustrations and messaging.
