Balzer + Bray

Digital Advertising Campaign with custom title lock-up

Balzer + Bray rolled out an ad set featuring multiple imprint titles, each with unique stories to tell and gorgeous vivid cover art. But the only unifying element was a semi-consistent title format.

How do you define a digital ad campaign with only that? We began with a title lock-up that played off the already established Balzer + Bray brand by emphasizing the “+” of the logo.

A Title + A Lock-Up

type:set unified the campaing visually by creating a title lock-up and styling that emphasized both the double “B”  and the “+” elements of the Balzer + Bray logo.

Cover Art + Messaging Styling

Each ad featured unique artwork and reflected title appropriate colors and fonts that both informed the styling of call-to-actions—FUN!

Here we see all the frames for Dad from which the color orange was selected to emphasize the release date.

Approvals + Animation

Once messaging and artwork placement was approved, ads were animated to cycle through frames and close with CTAs driving to featured 3D book covers.

As is often the case in publishing… these ads were developed in parallel to title cover art being finalized, but we were happy to provide quick turn-arounds to get these ads across the finish line.

“Thank you thank you for all your help on this project, all the adjustments, and the quick turnaround there at the end—I really appreciate it!”
